Iowa Smoke-Free Air Act
The law goes into effect on July 1, 2008. Smoking will be regulated in public places, places of employment, and certainoutdoor areas.

The Smokefree Air Act requires businesses, and state, county and city governments to post “no smoking” signs at every entrance to places where smoking is prohibited as well as company fleet vehicles.
